The HTK Subsea Mudmat was designed to attach below an operator's temporary guide base to provide additional support and stability while conducting drilling operations in any soft bottom environment. The HTK Subsea Mudmat is 14´ x 14´ square and comes in two (2) 7´ x 14´ easily transportable halves that require no permit and can be bolted together in the moon pool. Treated 2 x 6 lumber is used as flooring material to provide support in soft bottom areas. If retrieval of the mudmat is hindered due to bottom suction, this material will break away from its steel frame and allow for the mudmat frame to be retrieved.
