    Domestic and International  (1996 - present)

    Joined HTK Consultants, Inc. to work with established clients as well as solicit new business particularly in deepwater drilling and completion projects both domestically and worldwide.  Provide total project engineering and management for drilling, completion and workover operations in the Gulf Coast area.  Clients include Cockrell Oil Corporation, Transworld Exploration, Total Fina Elf E & P, Sterling Energy, Erskine Energy, BP, Century Exploration and Phoenix Exploration.

  • Drilling Manager - Seagull Energy E&P, Inc.
    Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas land and OCS waters (1990 - 1996)

    Served as Drilling Manager for Houston, Amarillo and Shreveport offices.  Supervised and coordinated the efforts of drilling engineering staff and drilling foremen which generated AFE's and well plans and executed drilling, completion and workover projects.   Monitored joint interest AFE’s and operations. Represented Drilling Department and coordinated operations with other involved departments.

  • Staff Drilling Engineer - Elf Aquitaine Petroleum
    Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast (1988 - 1990)

    Generated AFE’s, design prognoses and executed drilling, completion and workover projects. Monitored daily activity and supervised field personnel involved in projects.  Responsible for all permitting and regulatory affairs for OCS wells.  Provided critical operations on-site technical supervision.

  • Drilling Superintendent - Texoma Production Company/Midcon /Apache Corp
    Texas and Louisiana  (1984 - 1988)

    Supervised drilling operations both onshore and offshore.  Responsible for supervision of all aspects of drilling operations from initial prospect development through drilling and completion of wells.

  • Drilling Engineer - Texas Oil and Gas Company
    Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast (1981 - 1984)

    Generated drilling plans and AFE’s for TRC Districts 3, 5 and 6 and onshore SW Louisiana exploratory and development wells.  Responsible for permitting wells, contracting rigs and supervising location construction.  Served as a relief-drilling foreman.  Introduced the use of the personal computer in the field as a tool for improved efficiency.  Provided on-site technical assistance and monitored daily drilling progress.

    Generated drilling plans and AFE’s for central Gulf Coast area exploratory and development wells.  Provided on-site technical assistance and monitored daily drilling progress.

    Generated drilling plans and AFE’s for onshore TX/LA and OCS exploratory and development wells.  Provided on-site technical assistance and monitored daily drilling progress.

    Worked on 7/7 schedule as drilling foreman for both drilling and completion operations.

  • Production Engineer - Amoco Production Company
    Louisiana Gulf Coast  (1977 - 1978)

    Evaluated productivity for inland and onshore oil and gas fields.  Planned well completions and identified opportunities to increase production.  Trained for six months as drilling engineer.  Evaluated offset drilling data and designed drilling programs using inland water workover and drilling rigs.
