HTK Consultants, Inc. staffs a team of highly qualified professionals trained in all aspects of drilling and production, from spud through abandonment. These individuals work as in-house consultants for various oil and gas companies, providing daily input to the operator on specific projects.

Tom Stroud - Drilling & Completion Engineer

Tom Stroud is a degreed Petroleum Engineer from LSU.  He has 30 years of varied drilling and management experience in the domestic and international oil and gas industry. Prior to joining HTK, Tom was with Halliburton Energy Services heading up their PathFinder group until its sale and their Integrated Solutions group in Europe and Africa. Prior to HSE, Tom managed Triton's international operations.  Additionally, Stroud worked for Placid Oil Company in various drilling engineering positions.   

Charles E. Strange - Facilities & Production Engineer

Chuck Strange is a degreed Chemical Engineer from the University of Texas at El Paso.. He has 30 years of varied drilling and production experience in the domestic and international oil and gas industry. Prior to joining HTK, Chuck was with Energy Corporation of America planning wells for offshore New Zealand and before ECA with Devon Energy. His drilling and production experience includes Gulf of Mexico, Gulf Coast, Oklahoma, South America, Azerbaijan, Egypt and Western Siberia areas.  

Kenny Louviere - Deep Water Completion Specialist

Since joining HTK, Kenny has been working with Anadarko.     

R. T. Louviere - Deep Water Completion Specialist

RT Louviere received his AD in Computer Technology and telecommunications in between gaining 26 years experience in the oil and gas industry.  The past ten years have seen Louviere designing completions for Baker Oil Tools concentrating on gravel packs and frac packs.  Since joining HTK, RT has been planning and writing deep water completion programs for Anadarko for offshore GOM properties.

Since joining HTK, Joshua has been working with Anadarko.     

Bill McElduff - Drilling & Completion Engineer

Bill McElduff is a degreed Petroleum Engineer from Colorado School of Mines with 24 years experience in the domestic oil and gas industry. Prior to joining HTK, McElduff worked for the John Wright Company at various locations around the world.  Prior to John Wright Bill was a Sr. Drilling Engineer with Halliburton while also spending time with Yemen Hunt Oil Company and Pioneer Production Corporation.  

Kris Zaunbrecher - Drilling Engineer

Kris is a degreed Mechanical Engineer from Louisiana State University. He has 6 years of varied drilling and production experience in the domestic oil and gas industry. Prior to joining HTK, Kris was Drilling Engineer for Penn Virginia and before that Devon.  His drilling and production experience includes Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana and South Texas.  Currently, Kris is consulting for Goldston and Horizon Production & Operating.. 

Eddie Osborne received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University and has been involved in the oil and gas industry for the past 28 years.  Before joining HTK, Eddie began his career with Shell serving as a Sr. Drilling Engineer and spent some time in Venezuela.  After leaving Shell, Osborne was with a Sr. Engineer and Operations Eng. Mgr. with Triton Engineering. Recently he was with Halliburton Integrated Solutions serving as Lead Well Engineer.  Currently, Eddie is working with deepwater BP.

Rusty Ritz - Drilling & Completion Engineer

Rusty Ritz received his BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and has been involved in the oil and gas industry for the past 17 years.  Before joining HTK, Rusty began his career with Schlumberger serving as a Sr. Field Engineer.  After leaving Schlumberger, Ritz was with a Drilling Engineer with Cliffs Drilling. Recently he was with K&M Technology serving as Senior  Drilling Engineer and ERT Resources. Other clients include F-W Oil Exploration and Spinnaker Exploration. Currently, Rusty is working with Prime Offshore & Brigham Exploration.

Jeff Elrod received his BS in Petroleum Engineering and MBA in Finance from University of Tulsa and has been involved in the oil and gas industry for the past 18 years.  Before joining HTK, Jeff began his career with Oxy serving as a drilling/reservoir & petroleum engineer.  Then moved to Shell as senior drilling engineer then on to Gaither Petroleum as a petroleum engineer.  Recently he was with ABB Lummus Global serving as senior  drilling engineer.  Currently, Jeff is working with deepwater BP.
