    Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast  (2004 - present)

    Providing in-house engineering services in drilling, completion and workover operations for deepwater offshore wells.  Clients include BP.

  • Lead Well Engineer - Halliburton Integrated Services  
    Houston, TX and various international locations (1986 - 1996)

    Responsible for the design and optimization of the wells drilled under the alliance team for British Petroleum.  Lowered drilling days per 10,000’ from 70 to 25 days.  Worked on Chevron LL-652 project in Maracaibo .

  • Engineering Manager/Sr. Engineer - Triton Engineering Houston, TX  (1981 - 1986) 

    Responsible for the design and optimization of the wells drilled under the Alliance team for Lagoven. In the South Lake Field was successful in drilling the wells an average of 104 days under the Lagoven average and in the Bachaquero field averaged 34 days under the Lagoven average.

  • Sr. Engineer/Operations Engineering Manager - Triton
    Texas    (1989 - 1994)

    Responsible for well design for the turnkey group.  Analyzed all data for turnkey operations including well data for the drilling alliance with Lagoven.  Worked directly in the engineering group at Maraven’ s Lagunillas office and advised on improving drilling methods, bit selection and engineer training.  Managed operations engineering for Triton and their turnkey group.  Designed wells and analyzed drilling data.

  • Sr. Drilling Engineer/Production Engineer - Shell Oil Company
    Louisiana, Texas and Venezuela  (1978 - 1989):  

    Recommended procedures for eliminating drilling liners and reducing hole size on wells drilled in South Texas .  Improved PDC bit performance in South Texas fields through optimization of bit hydraulics and proposal of new bit styles.  Member of the engineering team that was responsible for drilling the deepwater project of the Atlantic Coast .  Recommended repair procedure for corroded conductors on production platforms.  Designed wells for both on and offshore sites.  Monitored well performance, calculated and analyzed reservoir economics to support recommended work-over projects for fields in South Louisiana .  Provided engineering support for logging operations in the field.
