  • Drilling Engineer - HTK Consultants, Inc.: Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast  (2006 - present)

    Providing engineering services in drilling, completion and workover operations both onshore and offshore Louisiana and Texas. Clients include POGO Producing.   

  • Drilling Engineer/Superintendent - Penn Virginia Oil & Gas 
    Louisiana Gulf Coast (2005 - 2006)

    Managed all aspects of drilling and completion activities including preparing and implementing well plans and developed AFE's for all wells. Oversaw drilling personnel and rig operations for both on and offshore well locations.    

  • Drilling Engineer II - Devon Energy
    Louisiana & Texas Gulf of Mexico, S. Texas  (2001 - 2005) 

    Responsible for the design, implementation, cost control and daily administration of operations of drill wells in assigned areas ( South Texas – Agua Dulce, Alice , Freer, Pettus, Refugio and Zapata.  East Texas Fairfield and Groesbeck.  North Louisiana – Ouchita and Jackson Parish, Vernon Field). Designed and drilled 100+ wells in 11 different onshore fields in South Texas and East Texas areas.  Set drilling field records in 8 of 11 fields worked.  Began work as a drilling superintendent while maintaining status and responsibilities of a drilling engineer II.  Additionally, responsible for compression in all South Texas fields.  Successful in the selection, purchase and design of compression in order to economically maximize production.  Evaluated gathering systems using Nodal Analysis in order to determine methods of re-structure to increase production and minimize LOE.  Designed and supervised the installation of a $600K, 24 mile, gas gathering, gas lift and water disposal system in Freer, TX.

    Worked out of the Corpus Christi office and responsible for offshore drilling, completion, and workovers for a package of 10 wells in Devon ’s Agua Dulce field ( South Texas ). Also responsible for the on-site supervision and engineering of all aspects of drilling, completion, hook-up and production. 

    Performed the functions of a production engineer and workover/completions foreman in the South Texas District.  Responsible for the engineering and on-site supervision of completion, re-completion, workover and hydraulic fracture of wells in both slim hole “tubingless” and conventional

     

    Also worked for Gulf of Mexico Division as a drilling engineer. Performed the function of a night company representative on jack-up drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and barge rigs in inland waters of Louisiana .  Responsible for drilling engineering aspects of assigned projects as well as their respective field supervision.  Also worked on a workover/completions rig in the Gulf of Mexico as a night company representative.
